Plaat van de eeuw - de 100 beste cd's aller tijden (VPRO en Nieuwe revu 1994)

In 1994 werd in nummer 20 van Nieuwe revu onderstaande lijst gepubliceerd.

De top 100 is opgemaakt op basis van lijstjes die door 100 kenners werden ingestuurd. Veel bekende namen maar ook diskjockeys die actief zijn in de grotere poptempels.

Het is niet mogelijk om na te gaan hoeveel titels door die honderd deelnemers precies werden genoemd omdat in Nieuwe revu van elke deelnemer slechts de eerste 5 titels werden afgedrukt.
Het is wel interessant om na te gaan wat er sinds het najaar van 1987 is veranderd. In dat jaar publiceerde Oor een vergelijkbare lijst: 100 elpees van de eeuw.

In de lijst uit 1987 kwam de Velvet underground + Nico als eerste uit de bus.

Marvin Gaye was derde.

Nevermind van Nirvana verscheen in 1991 en kon in 1987 uiteraard nog niet meedoen.
